“Ramaphosa And Zondo Will Account For All The Blood Shared In This Country” — Mchunu

"Everything will be at a standstill… The blood that is going to be shed in this country, will be accounted for by Zondo and Ramaphosa”. This statement was made by Mr Mchunu, saying that Ramaphosa allowed the perpetrators of this heinous crime to walk away. However, some followers of President Cyril Ramaphosa attacked him on social media, saying that Jacob Zuma and his acolytes should be held responsible for what happened and not president Cyril Ramaphosa. They also highlighted that the president have no hand in the predicament of the ex-president, Jacob Zuma, declaring that he violated the law and hence he must face the music because no one is above the law. Some people also stood by Mr. Mchunu, “He didn’t threaten the judge. He said Zondo and Ramaphosa will be responsible for the bloodshed. Don’t spin”.

Recall also that some core political leaders such as Julius Malema, Floyd Shivambu, Herman Mashaba and Vuyo Zungula all blamed the government for what happened. Furthermore, Herman Mashaba blamed the government for their slow response to such a national emergency, saying that President Cyril Ramaphosa's actions and indecisive nature led the country into the violent protests. But Julius Malema believed that it was the unwarranted arrest of Jacob Zuma that led to the present break down of laws and orders. Even Floyd Shivambu said that arresting Jacob Zuma was the greatest mistake made by this present administration. Floyd Shivambu said this while speaking in an interview shortly after the protest that led to the destruction of many businesses, shops, buildings, vehicles, and public and private properties. Several people also lost their jobs and sources of livelihoods, and thousands of people are now unemployed as a result of the violent protests. Different schools of thought are now casting blames on different people. While some people are blaming president Cyril Ramaphosa, others are blaming Jacob Zuma, his children and his followers, including members of the RET — ANC faction.

Some South Africans are casting blames on president Cyril Ramaphosa because according to them, he is not speaking against the Indians who are perceived to be the perpetrators of those heinous atrocities and massacre that occurred in Phoenix. They noted that it is either the president does not value the lives of the citizens of the country or, he is afraid of chastising the Indians for allegedly taking laws into their hands by turning against the looters and violent protesters. Some people even confirmed that several people who were allegedly killed in the Massacre were just passers-by, saying that they were neither involved in the looting nor were they among those that were protesting
