Nnamdi Kanu Says He Did Not Authorize Sit At Home Order
Senator Abaribe revealed that Nnamdi Kanu specifically told him that he did not issue any sit at home directive, which people are attributing to him. Senator Abaribe said that he spoke with Nnamdi Kanu one on one and Kanu said it was not him who made such pronouncement. This implies that the directive may have come from Kanu's followers in solidarity with the Biafra agitator. Senator Abaribe is just one of the few politicians in Nigeria that have close relationship with the activist who is currently being tried for treason amidst other charges labelled against him by the Nigerian government.
Furthermore, the sit at home order is always done weekly, and it affects by shops, schools, and businesses. Some people who violate the sit at home order sometimes risk being killed or haunted down by “unknown gunmen”. These unknown gunmen have become a slant in the Eastern part of the nation. Several people have been terribly beaten for violating the sit at home order. The thing affects nearly all the Igbo states in Nigeria, and it usually takes place every Monday as a solidarity to Nnamdi Kanu, the founder of the proscribed IPOB and radio Biafra.
